Hetty werkt sinds 2007 als beeldhouwer.Ze werkt voornamelijk in albast en serpentijn en combineert haar werken regelmatig met het gebruik van materialen als hout en aluminium. Voor al haar beelden laat zij zich inspireren door vrouwelijke schoonheid, verbondenheid en menselijke relaties.
Hetty onderscheidt zich door haar beelden van exclusieve schoenen vervaardigd uit steen, die kwetsbaarheid, schoonheid en kracht uitstralen. In deze werken, die samen de serie ‘Steps in stone’ vormen, toont ze puur vakmanschap. Hetty exposeert in binnen- en buitenland. Haar werken waren onder andere te zien tijdens de tentoonstelling Shuhe in het Musuem Auberlehaus te Trossingen (Duitsland), Stadtgalerie Klagenfurt te Klagenfurt am Worthersee (Oostenrijk), de Regionale Kunstdagen Rotterdam en in diverse shoppingmalls in Kuwait, Doha en Dubai.
Naast ‘Steps in stone’ maakt Hetty ook ander werk en werk in opdracht.

Her shoesculptures, which are part of a series works of art called ‘Steps in stone’, are an example of pure craftsmanship. The sculptures are shown at exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad.
